JML has successfully adapted automated welding technology in a petrochemical project in Singapore. We achieved a total of 5000+ DB on field with no rejection and on average 20+ DB/day/machine and at peak a record 90+ DB/day/machine.
Compared to manual welding, automated technology enabled us improving productivity by more than 2 folds. It yielded a higher weld dia-inch per day in open field areas for large bore pipes.
JML is looking forward to improving further the usage of automated welding on-field by using lessons learned from this pioneering adaptation of this technology in the live plant.
